Girls Player Development

The Girls Path in NED!

Our goal is to help educate and inform parents of high performing female players in the New England District (CT, RI, ME, NH & VT).

We'll continue to make updates to these pages throughout the year and add educational materials. Never hesitate to reach out with questions about path and progression, we are here to help!

GIRLS NEW ENGLAND FUTURES - 12 & 13

Tryouts for this event happen within each state (typically in/around January), those selected are invited to participate in a weekend camp the same time as the boys in March.  More information on this camp can be found here: Boys & Girls Futures Camp

GIRLS NEW ENGLAND DISTRICT TRYOUTS - 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18

This event typically takes place in April. Each birth year will have a specific on ice evaluation by a group of independent hockey evaluators. Thos selected from these tryouts will have the opportunity to advance to age specific camps both in New England and at the National level.

Girls New England District Camp

This annual summer camp hosted by NED is independent of the spring tryouts.  Our intention is to focus on becoming better hockey players and athletes on & off the ice while having fun with Prep, D3 & D1 instructors.

Format: Skill based & encompassing the best of the girls National Camp Structure.  Minimal game play (1-2 ice sessions per day), nutritional counseling, off ice training, video review and evening seminars. There will also be a formal goalie training component every day using the USA Hockey Goalie Camp Curriculum.

There is no tryout into this camp and there is no advancing out of this camp.
